We'll sing, enjoy puppets, crafts, and bubbles, have snacks for kids, and bagels, fruit, and coffee or tea for adults.

Enjoy and learn about the Jewish ritual for beginning the week, a brief, beautiful ceremony that kids (and parents!) tend to love. We smell sweet spices, sing, watch a braided candle burn, and wish one another a good week.

This ritual, Havdalah, is traditionally done on Saturday evening. Since mornings are often a better time for young children, we offer Havdalah the following morning as part of a pajama party that gives the homey feeling of Saturday evening.

Bring your child(ren)'s favorite blanky and stuffed animal. You'll leave with information on how to try Havdalah at home if you'd like.

Our gathering will be led by wonderful early childhood specialist Mimi Greisman.
